im friends with the owner of that teg, they are 15" TE37, he hast had those rims for over a yr, hes rocking 16" k1 now,

You can be that low on any 16 inch wheel. Just compensate with tire sizes. Although you'll probably mess up the wheels going that low with a smaller profile tire.

i heard that if your that low with low profile tires that you wont go thru a lot of tires

If you are cambered which he has to be to get that low, then yeah your going to go through tires. Less contact area means more stress on are actually contacting. Lower profile tires have less depth, meat, tread, whatever you wanna call it. Going to wear to belts faster.

Sorry I should have clarified, I meant the actual rims themselves would be more prone to damage, not the tires.
