weird problems with taillights

i recently got my 1990 teg.. when i bought it it was during day time and nice and bright out so i didnt need to turn on the lights.

so while i was driving during the night, i noticed (actually some guy kept high beaming me and pulled up beside me) my taillights werent on.. i looked at the switch and it was on.. my headlights were on, dash lights are on.. so i got home and without turning off my car, i got out and went to see the lights.. low and behold... NO taillights..

i stomped on the brakes, i see the red reflection against the wall.. so the bulbs are fine..

turn off my engine, started it back up, turn on the lights and notice there some little red color on the wall.. got out and saw the lights are on..

now the thing is, When i release my EBRAKE, the lights go out.. doesnt matter if i turn the switch to off and back on, lights dont go on... the only way to have it stay on is when i start up the engine.. ive test this theory 4 times...

Is this Electrical wiring problem or a fuse problem?

check the bulbs first and see if the right bulb is used. sometimes people put the single duty bulb in a dual duty socket... ie. there shoud be 2 prongs on the bulb if they are to remain on and lite up brighter once the brake is used. u might only have the single prongs on ur bulbs. also check ur wire harness between the body panel and lights in the rear.

ebrake issue suggests a bad or missing ground and that the circuit is feeding back through the ebrake dash light switch.

i just check all the fuses to make sure everything was fine...

all was fine, had to make some changes except for 1 problem.. im missing a slot.. in the picture is what i went by and notice there was a missing slot for a fuse.. top right hand side, the pictures shows 3 slots.. on my car, it only had 1 slot...

i have a 1990 4 door integra.. not sure which model as the previous owner had removed all the badging on the car...

So its not a fuse problem...
