hey guys! i just buff waxed the car about a week ago and like a noob I got some on my wiper and cowl. Now it looks kinda ashy. Is there a home remedy i can use to clear it up? I dont wanna make another trip to autozone since i already spent $90 on cleaning supplies =(
spray some brake cleaner on a rag and try wiping it off, thats worked 4 me before, but try a inconspicous spot first to see if it damages anything. also try rubbing alcohol.
I do it all the time. I have countless areas with the wax residue on the weather stripping. I really dont know how you got some on your wipers though... It doesnt bother me much, but im sure there is a way to remove it. I would find it hard to imagine people taping their car off for a wax
yup, im planin on pickin up some. my friend let me use it a couple months ago. i just dont wanna spend anymore money haha! $90 on waxes, supply, etc for detailing. Thats why I posted for a home remedy like wd40 and brake cleaner.
You can clay your car over again, assuming you did that the first time. Then get Meguiars Tech Wax 2.0. You would be hand waxing your car but i can garantee you will like the results. It will maybe take you about an hour or so. I did it to my teg and it looked great, but i need to do it again because its been about a year already. Put a lil pressure while you hand wax and while you wipe the wax off. You would be spending a total of about 40 dollars maybe.
I detail cars for a living and we get wax every ever when buffing. It just happens but we use A LOT of degreaser it works for every thing from in. To ex. And some times even degrease... Lol that works grate but. Its makes me cough a lot. Wd40 shoulde work too
