As for some of us we are getting rain and not snow for winter. My Question is that yesterday i drove around in the rain to work and other places. Today got in my car i saw that my floor mat were wet. I didn't think nothing about it. I got to work and went around a corner and heard a splash in my trunk. Parked the car open the trunk and found that my spare tire was almost cover in water. I got to looking more and somehow it got some of the front carpet wet. Is there anything i can do to stop the water from coming in and what to use to get the water smell and water out of the carpet.

Have fun with the smell. The padding in the carpet will stink forever. Thats where the smell comes from. The water in the truck is most likely your taillight seals. If its not that then its the hatch seal. The water up front I cant really explain. Chances are it may be the windshield wiper tray. Theres an inlet for your blower motor and sometimes itll leak in there.

Could be a few things. Taillights, Sunroof drain plugs, bad seals around the trunk/hatch. Or it may be more uncommon like a crack somewhere you havent noticed. Best way to locate it is to strip your trunk interior, dry it all out, and use a garden hose to spray sections on the rear, and then look inside for seepage. My car ended up having a crack under the driver tailight, that was letting water in slowly..

Keep the water in there and have a mobile swimming pool.

the water is most likely coming in due to a bad taillight seal. do you have water in either of your taillights? the water in the front is probably just water that sloshed up from the trunk into the main cab of your car. just try either buying new seals (40bucks for the pair from acura) or buying new taillights(80 dollars for a pair on ebay) i had the same problem and the new taillights and seals stopped my leak. but before a smell can form take a hair dryer on low and dry out the carpet and underlying foam to dry it out and prevent mold growth. and make sure you dry the board under the carpet too.
