Vtec not kicking in on my new 01 ITR!

I bought a 2001 integra type r today on GT5. Some reason the vtec isn't kicking in....Anyone know why?

As Ominous mentioned- is your oil level topped off? If your oil is good you can try cleaning the screen on your vtec solenoid. Did it throw a code?

Oil cap off = more aggressive. No oil cap needed for vtec!

Make sure it's warmed up to full operating temperature, it won't engage if its not toasty

Plus you get a free car wash if you get the oil changed, so that's another like, 5whp because you're so jdm fresh

Best way to get your vtec working is to hit " left , left , up, down , l1,r1,o,x,down,up" make sure you enter it at the on screen game options. Code is called mad vtec, but make sure you double clutch it so it kicks in twice as hard. Best of luck !
