V Tec Controllers

What does everyone think of Vtec controllers. I kinda wanna put one in my car. What does everyone think. I know a fair bit about them but are they bad for your engine or your computer at all?

VTEC controller......you wont really see too much of a difference without a built engine. Some people use them with their turbo set-ups to help spool the turbo faster, and most NA set-ups force VTEC to engage slightly sooner to make more use of their aftermarket Cams. But on bolt on set-ups, gains are very minimal. So i'd invest my money elsewhere first if you haven't already. They are a good product to buy, but shouldn't be something to purchase in the early stages of tuning, you might end up dissapointing yourself if you did

Oh yeah,.....its not really bad for your computer, but the stock fuel maps aren't set-up to accompany that VTEC engagement difference, so again, you wont notice the real power you're lookin' for without some EMS system to help it along

Ok well thats a big help thanks man. I was going to get an engine tune a bit before summer too so mabye i should wait untill then if i even do get one. I can get a brand new one for a very good price thats why so i might just get it and then put it on later. thanks tho
