Viper Alarm wiring diagram.

Hello all. So I talked to my neighbor who is a mechanic, and asked him about why my taillights, and dash lights won't work. So we started talking about a few things that can cause it. I dont have my front turn signal bulb plugs, which he said might be a problem. Then I asked about what could cause my alarm to just randomly go off, also another problem that can cause it to happen he said because some where there is a wire loose not allowing the circuit to be complete. I am curious if any one has a Viper Alarm wiring diagram for a 98 integra ls.

blown radio fuse under your dash or under your fuse box under the hood can cause your parking lights and interior lights to NOT WORK.

as far as the wiring diagram goes... there's other certain forums you will need to dig and find out. i'd check your ground connection possibly and the 12v.

I changed both those fuses so that can't be the problem thanx for the advise. I'll look into the other forums as well.

I seriously doubt it's the parking light wire from the alarm that's causing your lights problem. It's should be a white wire coming off the Viper brain that is the parking light wire, there will be an inline fuse on that wire too unless the installer cut it off. That wire just taps onto the cars parking light wire, there's no cutting of the car's parking light wire. Therefore theres's no way the alarm will be closing the parking light circuit.
As far as the alarm randomly going off, that could be a few things. Could be the same thing that's causing your lights problem, bad wiring in the car. What year is your car? What trigger is going off on the alarm?

Well I do know that when I do set my alarm my lights dont flash like they should. The car is a 98 ls. Also where is the brain located. The alarm will just set off as tho the cars been kicked or messed with i dont know what trigger is goin off on the alarm. Like I said if I had a diagram I could check the wiring and make sure its fine.

If it's a Viper alarm, then it's an aftermaket install, and the brain could be in alot of places. I'd check under the dash and under the center console. Find some aftermarket wires and follow where they go.
Some alarms you can program the lights not to blink when you arm/disarm.

Here are some pix gotta couple of ?'s on them. As you can see in pic 1 and 3 they look like they should plug into each other any one know what those might be? What is the plug for in number 2 and what is number 4 I know its a light, but is it for a turn signal? Because it hooks in at the turn signal area.

The plug from the first pic is for the hatch area light. Are you missing your rear side panels? The light is mounted in them. (If your missing the light assembly itself I have one I can sell you cheap.)

The other 3 I can't make out what they go to. The plug in the 2nd pic looks like it isn't used cuz it's wrapped in blue tape to a harness. Pic 3, is that only 1 wire going into that plug? Might be a door trigger wire, I can't figure out where in the car that pic was taken. Pic 4, no idea.

ok i do have my rear side panel on the left and the one on the right as well but the one on the right is cut so I need a new one. All those pix were taken in my trunk. Also pic 3 has 2 wires I think that and 1 go together.

I'm 100% positive the pic 1 plug goes to the hatch light. I looked at my own and it has the same green and white/red wires coming out of it. My car's a 1995 hatchback. The hatch light is the white thing in the upper right corner of this pic:

The brain will be just a plain looking black box, HERE'S an example of what a brain looks like. It'll have non-factory looking wires coming from it, possibly wrapped in electrical tape, possibly zip tied.

alarms that are aftermarket suck i have a complete factory alarm and it is direct plug and play no cutting or hacking into wires that is my suggestion also i would have all my light sockets with good bullbs plugged in even the rear truck light

alright yeh I was hoping this wouldn't have an alarm so i could get one myself. Where could a i get a factory one for cheap, and how well do they work. Another ? could my dimmer switch in the dash cause my lights no to work. Dont think so but its worth a shot.

Factory alarms are inferior because:
-They are easy to bypass. Think about it, the brain's always in the same place. The alarm's wiring is always in the same place. Theives know this information, they get a tutorial from their fellow scumbags, hop right into your ride and are driving away with it in no time flat.
-limited remote control range
-none of the extras that modern day alarms come with (paging, motion sensors, shock sensors)
-can't program function features to your liking.
-can't add luxury features like window roll down, open/close sunroof, or additional sensors for added protection. And you can't add a remote start and have it work off the factory remote. You can add almost any remote start to almost any aftermarket alarm and use the alarm remote to start the car.
