this might be a stupid question but would it be dumb to get the viper alarm that can turn on ur car and off from the remote before i get my transmission swap? because of the the whole different way of turning on your car when its a manual. or would it not matter? or couldnt u jus set up d viper alarm and then after the transmission swap u can just adjust the alarm to be able to bypass thru the whole clutch thing?

you have to bypass the clutch to get it to start in a manual car. and you dont want that because if your in first gear your car is going to go rolling into anything and everything infront of it

btw no need to bump after an hour give it time for people to get on and read

Lots of people get in the habit of leaving their car in gear when they park it....it's just personal preferance. And some people are taught to do that, the reason being that if the e-barke fails your car won't move if it's in gear. Some people put the car in gear and don't use the e-brake, some people put the car in gear and pull the e-brake, and some just pull the e-brake. I just pull the e-brake.

compustar and recently viper have come out with manual transmission compatible remote starter systems.
older viper systems had a neutral safety switch add on module... 689M

basically what you would have to do is set it in "ready mode" but even that has its flaws.

for instance this is the sequence for the 689M module...

1) All doors must be closed
2) Key start the engine
3) Fully apply the parking brake
4) Put the transmission in neutral and release the clutch pedal
5) Engage remote start. The parking lights will flash or illuminate depending on the model of remote start
6) Remove key from ignition cylinder
7) Exit vehicle without pressing the brake pedal
8) Shut all doors to vehicle. The engine will shut off automatically

if the alarm has been set off then the ready state is disabled.
a must if you install a neutral safety bypass module is an ultrasonic sensor.

a member over at H-T had everything properly installed including one of these modules, window was left open and either one of his friends/family members went to grab something in the car... etc probably knocked into the shifter and once the remote start was engaged it hit the car in front... or something of that sort.
