ok so i have a 90 ls automatic. failing emissions because its running too rich. my speedo cable is snapped and its giving me cel code 17.
is the part of the vss that sends input to the ecu for fuel mixture located on the tranny or the gauge cluster.??
the ecu uses data from the vss to control the air/fuel mixture. so i know a bad vss can cause a rich/lean fuel mixture. Iam just wondering if a broken or disconnected vss can cause such a rich fuel mixture to fail emissions?
and i know the ecu also uses data from other sensors like the o2 sensor and the air charge temp sensor. i have tested and replaced alot of stuff and its running lke shit waisting gas. and i cant get plates for it if i cant fix it sooon ima have to sell
