underdrive pulley

This would be a matter of opinion and you wont get any concrete answers here. I suggest you venture out to other honda forums to see what people have said.

You will read about two things. The first is the harmonic dampening effect of the stock crank pulley, because of the rubber insert in it absorbs some vibrations and would otherwise be transferred to the motor and cause accelerated wear on the bearings. You could decrease this effect by having the rods and crank balanced properly, but I take it you are looking for an easy power adder by removing some rotational mass.

The other think you will read is of people having zero issues with lightened pulleys, and have been running them for years. Take this with a grain of salt, because I doubt these people have opened up the motor since to physically check for abnormal/accelerated wear.

IMO, if you are looking for a little decrease in the rotational mass/weight, you can have the stock crank pulley machined down so that it only has the alternator belt channel. Also, Fluidampr makes a crank pulley with a dampening effect, and it a great quality product. It does cost quite a lot though. Either way you will be losing your accessory belts (A/C and P/S).

when i put on my unorthadox under drive pully on my last motor i didnt have any real bad vibrations coming off it and i just rebuilt my ls and i have it on there now.It gave me a nice power difference going from stock i think its worth it and mine only cost around 100 bucks

If you go with anything other than a stock crank pulley, go with a Fluidamper. It will help to dampen vibrations and allow you to rev higher than those billet pulleys.
