Ugh the dreaded hatch/trunk water leaks..

I did a lot of searching online and again on this site and tons of others. I have a leak in my hatch (oooh no not that again ) ... Well I got a 90 Integra LS 3DR... I replaced the tail light gasket ..(Yes I made sure to removed all of the old one each time) not once but twice.. So no leak there.. Checked the moon roof drain hoses and they were fine. Checked the small hose that goes into the bottom of the Automatic Radio Antenna .. Nothing... I had the entire trunk torn apart to the medal.. Sealed and Sealed every place that water came in from. Good so I am finished and put everything back together and low and behold water is STILL leaking... I see water lines or where water has ran down on the vents on either side of the hatch... I am assuming they are to vent air .. Actually read there vents and something to do with closing the doors... So that is where I am stuck at and really don’t know what to do other then yanking the vents out period.. Its tolerable leaking .. not a lot .. its 80 percent better then before sealing and replacing gaskets... ( I simply used plain old clear rubber sealant in a tube) so don’t know if I should try something else to seal with..

So does anyone have a idea where to do .... I would like to stop the leaks and I get a mildew smell after it rains so I soak all the water up with a towel.. ...

Also to add the car was hit in the rear driver side quarter panel(gas tank thing the name slips my mind right now lol) and it was done shitty though I sealed it all up where the lines are .. .. The entire rear light cluster needed replacement which I did.. and new seal.

Thank you ahead of time and hopefully someone has a clue/idea whats going on before I loose my mind lol*

I used this stuff for making the seal.

Works better than the liquid stull it seems. Try that out, A little advice too.. If you got all your stuff taken apart, don't put it back together until it rains again. That way you know for sure where the leak is coming from.

*taps my chin* I know what that is .. God if I can remember the name...and yes a few people gave me that advice.. I got a little ahead of myself and had "high" hopes it was fixed.. That taught me...

It's window weather seal. Get the rubber foam kind, the thickest, widestest one. Take your tail lights off and rolll that stuff out all along where the old gasket used to sit without breaking it all the way around. And make sure whre it stops and ends is on the bottom of the light, just to be extra sure, since if water happens to pool on the top of the light, it's a complete seal up there.

I think from the accident, it might have caused damage to the frame and now the hatch doesnt align properly causing it to leak.

Actually.. never thought of that.. I was not even told it got hit till after I got it... Though once you pop the gas umm I cant think though inside is where the crack starts.. So I figured it got hit around that area.. Then from there cracked around and then down to the tail light cluster. It had a bad crack actually had a hole .. . there was mildew inside. actually Mold meaning its been sitting that way for awhile.. So I got another at a junk yard looked brand new.. Then when I finally took out the entire hatch liner you see the putty and such they did to cheaply fix it. So I followed the cracks with rubber sealant...

Also .. probably should have said this first.. the car was sitting for almost 2 years.. was not driven that much... I know thiis is not good on seals.. can get dry rot.. cracks.. splits .. thought most were replaced before I got the car... I mean the engine is good and over all the car is nice and I love it.. Just all these simple fixes add up and been costing me a bit.. Cant wait to work on it when its warmer.. Put on a cold air intake.. New knob on the shifter.. Have to replace the heat/ac controls .. Again already replaced it once and it half ass worked and the lights are blown in it... AC button does not work..Looking for a stock spoiler to put on ... .and some other projects... Will keep me busy ..

And now we have a flood warning ... Will make sure my car does not go floating down the river near by ... *lol*
