I suggest you do more research on the topic. You say you "like what it does." So you want more power? Its going to cost you $2000, or more.
You should first check the health of the motor with a compression test, and a leakdown test. If they both checkout, you can get a turbo kit and bolt it up. The next issue is tuning. You will need an engine management system that it compatible with OBD0 cars, which will be a feat in itself. Most likely you will need a conversion harness and ECU to convert your car to OBD1.
Since you have a G1, you may be better off just swapping the D series motor for a B series, with an OBD1 conversion.
