So I need to get a turbo timer and i'm not sure which one to get, I had an apexi before but didn't like it that much. Also my car has black interior so i'm trying to match it. Any ideas?

First off. You have a water cooled turbo. You dont need one. Its a luxury thing. Really the only time you need one on a water cooled turbo is after a long highway trip and after pounding on it. And even then it wouldnt kill you to sit in the car for 2min MAX. But if you want one, go with what I got (only reason I got it was because a local DSMer practically gave it to me WITH the plug in play harness. Oh and DEFINATELY get the plug and play harness :thumbs up

I have the HKS type-1

The orange color goes GREAT with my orange lit interior. It is also all black which is nice. It also has a red desplay. But I didnt screw with that. But yea, their cheap too ($100). Only has basic timing features. Also displays car voltage. The type-2 adds a shift light I beleve?? And something else.

I know I don't need one, but I have a little upgrade, and I will be needing one, so just taking care of it now so I don't have to worry about it later. I kinda like the top fuel one, I have red interior lights so I wanted something to match them.

get the greddy my brother got it in his evo9 that shit works goods you can wire it to your ecu and it adjust to your boost so if your punching it your turbo timer would stay on longer than if your just doing a normal city driving

Hate to say.... They all do that. At least the HKS, Apexi, Greddy, and Blitz do.

If I drive normally most likely ill come to a stop where I need to be and see no time needed to sit. But when you get on it, or on the highway. The time racks up. Alot of the time you can just coast and give it very little gas before you park it and that cools it sufficantly.

Hum, mabye APEXI. All I can voutch for is HKS. And HKS is Full Auto. I can change it to run how ever long I want, but I just leave it on auto.

I don't remember the model. I got the one with the orange face to match the rest of the orange lighting in the car

i highly recommend the type 1. i have no complaints with it and its nice to have the shift light. no need for a big tach or anything. i mounted mine on top of the steering column cover.
