turbo question

Soo...I don't know much about turbos yet, but here's the deal. I think I can but Idk. My buddy has a stock Turbo off a Mazda mx6 2.2 that on my b18a. I can get for next to nothing. Just wondering if I could use that. And my buddy owns a shop that specializes in custom Turbo manifolds and piping so that's no big deal.

if the turbo is good, and you can get a manifold made for it then go for it.
i bet those are tiny tiny tiny turbo's though seeing as that car only made 145 with the turbo

Yeah, it probly is. But I figure since its so cheap I might as well get it, then obviously upgrade when funds are available. So what all will I need. Turbo, manifold, wastegate, intercooler, and bov..correct? And piping obviously..

OK scratch that....decided that would probly be a waste of time and money for not much of a difference... lol might as well just save up and do it right haha.

I am in a similar case, but instead it is a 98 eclipse gsx. my cuzin upgraded his turbo and has no use for it; he is willing to give it to me for free. would i be able to slap that on. id appreciate it if anyone knew the answer. thnx

Probly the same situation, probly be way too much time and money for little power gain. Don't know how much power those make. But it'd probly be better to save for a legit aftermarket Turbo setup. That's what I'm Gonna do Lol.
