Had my gsr tuned a few days ago. We couldnt get the boost to stay stable at 10psi. It would drop right back to 8psi at the top. Also couldnt get a gm 3bar in time to run more boost.
It will get a retune in a month or so with a 3 bar and maybe a exhaust. Just only want 200wtq , which will be easily done with the greddy 18g.

Does anyone know how to get the boost stable on low boost? JK think its the stock exhaust. Does tightening up the rod will make it hold boost easier? right now the wastegate is set at 4psi with the rod just laying on it. We using a MBC to control the boost right now.

at 8psi jk got it to do 211hp/174tq.

STOCK exhaust w/ CAT
Greddy 18g kit
FMIC
dsm 450 black

211hp/173tq
bond line 8psi - 4psi is the other line

IMO, electronic boost controller is the way to go. You can set the gain/peak. I've never had a EBC lose boost. I had a 300zx with stock turbos and was able to hold 20psi with no drop.

i know the stock exhaust is holding me back. im not trying to push the block to the max . right now its pretty fun to drive around town. a slight traction lost at the top of first and thats it. i dont drag or autocross. so i dont need 300hp and smoke tires

with a 2.5" exhaust i can easily see 20-30 peak hp gain.

keeping it quiet and sleeper:p if it can be done with stock exhaust , so why not do it. yes it be easiser to reach the goal of 200tq but whatever

So simple. Why mess with it?.. stock everything with a 18g, perfect daily driver. Still has all components, a/c, p/s, c/c.
Easy to work on and maintain with out the loud ass exhaust to catch the cops attention. If you do upgrade the exhaust I would still keep it quiet and go for a Apexi WS2. Nice job btw
