Turbo cutting out?

First off I want to say that this is for my wife's 95 GST, its a 5spd and stock. Also I know this is an integra forum but I like this forum and there are a lot of knowledgable guys on here... so thats why I am asking here.

On this GST, In the last month it has had a trans rebuilt, new p/s belt and timing belt, new water pump, and some new suspension parts. The car actually runs great... till you get on it and the turbo starts to boost up. It acts like its cutting out. I have had a AWD TSi and my car had way more power than her gst. It only cuts out when you get on it. If you drive normal it doesn't do it. The car is at her brothers house right now so I don't have it around me but if you have any questions I will try to answer them the best I can. Any Ideas out there? :???:

Will mileage have anything to do with this? This car has 98k

If its not boost leak, what else should I look out for?

It should be fine as long as it has been maintained. My GST has 144k now.

Is the CEL on? Any modifications?

CEL is on and it is bone stock except axle back exaust if I remember correctly, if there is anything else it would be a SRI at most. Somebody bought it and made it look like a Paul Walker spaceship, we have been collecting stuff to make it stock again. They riced it all out on the interior.... this is more like a restoration project lol

Id put my $ on a boost leak, get a spray bottle, put some soap water in it, and when you do the boost leak test spray the hoses, around the injectors, bov, all over the throttle body (especially the biss screw). Id say its a boost leak...

I had this issue, it was the biss screw, than later down the road it was the injector seals. Also does it have the stock bov still (the plastic one)? Id look into upgrading to a 1G valve...




Worth its weight in gold..... hell I just used my recently to test a intercooler I was buying..

I will have to make one. I'm sure there are a few things that need to be replaced. Who ever owned this car didn't really take care of it. We bought it for 1200 and its a 95 GST with 98k. Its a solid car but it has a lot of piddly stuff that needs fixed and a horrid body kit that is getting removed pretty soon lol
