transmission ysk or ls

i found a DB1 with over 200k on motor and tranny the dude wants 1.5k for it but it grind 2nd gear, so i have a gs and i was thinking about swapping the motor over to the gs transmission for longer gear ratios, then part the db1 for extra cash. does anyone thing this is a good idea? but the bad thing is the shell got a few dent and the inside is still clean. please post comment so i can go out inabit and buy the car.

why do you want that motor? unless you plan on rebuilding it it wont last you very long before you start dumpin money in it to fix it

a DB1 = LS,GS,RS

its the same transmission that you have. same gear ratio.

and "YSK1" is just the code for the transmission case. not the actual transmission itself.

ok anyway's this thread is dead, but i would like to post up picture of the db2 i just bought for $950.
