Transmission question

I am currently looking at buying a used integra. I came across one, a 98 LS, 5speed. The owner says that the car sometimes has trouble shifting into third gear but other times has no problems. He told me that it may need a new synchronizer, is there any validity to this, what would the cost of this be?

well to take apart a trans, replace the synchros, and put it back together...you are better off just getting a used b16/gsr/type r trans that is in good condition and swapping it urself...prolly cost u around 700 to fix all that stuff

The infamous 3rd gear problem... Like Integraguy04 said, you're better off buying a used tranny.
