Well I havent had my ride for that long and i kinda got an issue.
Sometimes i have problem getting the car into gear when the motor is running and I am sitting still, but can get into gear when the car is rolling.
I have changed the master and slave cylinders.
This problem happens in all gears when sitting still.
Does have hard time getting into gear sometimes, mostly when coming to a stop.
I dont believe it is the cluch because i have full pedal and it feels good.
The car is a 96 LS with 84K.
Just trying to figure this out.

I was told possibly the tranny fluid. what you guys think?

Could be your synchros going bad?? Mines do the same except only at when taking off from start up, but once the car gets to the normal operating temp it shifts fine but rattles at like 3,000 rpm point on every gear

just because it feels good doesnt mean it is good. possibly throw out bearing. if you know how to change a clutch yourself, buy a clutch kit (should come with clutch, PP, throw out bearing, piolit bearing) and along with new tranny fluid (honda MTF/gm syncromesh) the prob should go away.

i still think it's your clutch. Just because the pedal "feels right" doesn't mean the clutch is working properly. Stock clutch? If so how many miles are on it? If it was a syncro problem you should have grindy gears not problems with it going into gear...and every gear for that matter.

wite2nr beat me to it haha...i second the clutch issue and/or a throw-out bearing...forgot to mention that.

for sure i know its not the synros their not all going to go out at once. I talked to a mechanic of imine and he siad it could possibly be the input shat. something aobut once driving and coming to a stop it continues to spin and not stop so i can get into gear.
he said probably something internal. he checked it out in the parking lot and said he's pretty sure its not the clutch or synros.
I would i kow if it is the throw out bearing?

sounds like a clutch disc or pressure plate. buddy of mine had intermittent can't shift into any gear when coming to a stop. the problem got worse and eventually she was not able to shift into gear @ idle. possibly the spring(s) on the clutch disc or a component in the pressure plate has failed

pic of buds failed clutch disc:

thanks master tech. sounds like my problem.
are you sure it was only when he was at a complete stop?
Cause thats what my problem is. I can shift fine when the car is moving even in high rpm's.

how much does it average to have a shop change the clutch?

So I took my car into a mechanic we know who does really good work. My clutch got worse and now i hve no play in my pedal and it is really stiff and my clutch is slipping.
i took my car and he checked it our and test drove it.
He will be changin the clutch and servicing my tranny for $699.
labor will ony be $325 and the rest is for parts and resurfacing my flywheel which is only $30.
I figured i would let him do it cause he does amazing job and i have family that swear by hime. and plus if he does it he will warranty parts and labor.
Thanks for the help though guys.
