Trailer restoration & Hitch install

basically, i like fast!
So I decided I would use my teg to pull my quad around and luckily a found a perfect trailer at my girlfriends house that they hadnt used in 6 years.. So heres the trailer restoration and hitch install pictures!













In order to be able to screw the bolt in, I HAD to remove my muffler, it was the only way.

Just need to do some wiring and it should all be set! Questions/comments welcome :)

That looks pretty badass, it's been a while since I've seen a hitch install on this thread. Think the last one was Melt, the OG's will know who that is.

Yeah I figured why not! Yeah i can feel the weight and I just gotta take it slow but thats what you get with a 4 banger. Im going up to the sand dunes this weekend. Yahoo!!

You already know my opinion on this lol. Nice work on the trailer though. :thumbs up Casey and I agreed however that you could have better spent the money you used on a bike on something cooler like say, a turbo build :lol:

Haha thanks! it was rought work. If I went turbo.. I would have ended up spending more money than I did, I almost garuantee I would have blew my engine or something.. Im not willing to risk that at 167k miles when its my only vehicle. And I have college to drive to everyday. And hey! I get to go quading up in the san dunes and you dont! haha ;)

Oh and I wont get nearly the money back I would have put into the turbo. An 05 raptor on the other hand. I can sell for what ive got into it pretty easily.

Are you talkin to me? I have amber bulbs that I drilled holes for in the bottum of my brightes and then wired them up with a switch.


Yeah itll haul a heavy quad! Mines 400 pounds plus liks a 200 pound trailer and a 20 pound ramp.
Although the trailer decided to be a pain in the ass when I went this weekend. Let me find the pictures...

First blew a tire on the trailer with no replacement..

I drove around for FOUR hours trying to find 2 new tires, Luckily I was able to use this mechanics welding machine tires. Otherwise I had to drive 60 miles away for new tires. So I came back to my trailer to put on the new tires, to find it not where I left it..


Someone physically flipped my trailer over the cliff. I know this because I had tools on the side of the road that were thrown down as well. Wind wouldnt do that. So I wiggled it down the cliff and flipped it over using straps.

Luckily there wasnt much damage and I was able to use my quad to pull it up and around the hill.

I was 5 miles away from the sand dunes I was trying to get to. I got a flat tire at 1pm and finally arrived in my spot at 830pm at night.. What a ridiculous day.

I got stuck in the sand twice in my teg :lol:

Haha I was born in San Diego and have gone back a lot. But it was my only choice. I was 3 hours away from my family and friends.
