Trade my Integra?

JemmieN

not a girl lol
Ok so one of my friends wants to trade his Prelude for my Integra. I did not get full details about it (year and model) because I was in a hurry.

About his Prelude :

Red
Repaired body damage (Parts were not painted yet)
Rear bumper is diff color red
OEM lip kit
Lowered on H&R springs or coilovers with Tokico shocks
Engine and transmission swapped with JDM ones with 40k miles on it
Will get more info on it later on
New headlights
6000K HIDs
5 speed manual
Intake - Headers - Exhaust

About my Integra :

2000 DB7
Tafetta White
Lowered on Megan Coilovers
Paint is okay condition (Front bumper and hood need some new paint)
206K Miles
Engine has had sludge in it because of the previous owner (Rebuilt motor)
Clean interior.
Rota Grids
High beams are not working
One of the turn signals is not working
Automatic
6000K HIDs

He wants my Integra because it is a 4 door and he has had one before and loved it. It's also automatic so his wife can drive it instead of the Prelude (She totaled his S2000). Will fit their kids in it also. After he heard about sludge in the engine he asked if I could put money in also, I cannot because I'm a poor lazy kid. He still kept the trade in mind.

It depends on the mileage, IMO. Ludes are hella heavy in the front and steer like drunk pigs
x2....
also depends on what year lude...
Never give up the teggy! (everybody that I know that has had a teggy & sold it/traded it, etc... ended up wanting their teggy back within a week!)
Think about it... Why does everybody want to trade their newer car for an older teggy all the time?
They know just how well the teggy was built!!!

I say NO... dont do it..

Well OP's car does have some issues and quite a bit of mileage, but I assume the Lude can't be much better, if not worse - as for the owner looking to trade. The deal looks fairly sweet, mileage permitting, but there is always some drawback; people aren't that nice or charitable these days, lol

I like the 98 lude body style all day...
But I know those cars handle like an Akulla class submarine

Yup...in a straight line it will take off with that 200+hp stock motor...hit a turn = crawl
Thats why my crews name is P.P.W. ( Power Pushes Weight crew) damn near everybody is running a H series in their teggys and bubbles...
Bigger motor moving a lighter car.... spanking type R swaps lol

from personal experience, preludes are great sexy cars, but if you trade be to dump alot of money into it. I use to be a member on preludezone (hella sweet forum) and most of our topics were about repairs =[
They have great torque (faster acceleration than my teggy) and their h22s and h23s are like sex to my ears but they are costly to maintain. They use premium gas and there trannys were built a bit wierd. If you are doing 80pmh your RPMS will be sitting around 5k. Also, the automatics (for the years 97+) are straight shit.
Just be ready if you do trade. Its a rare beuaty to see on the streets and its HANDLING IS ACTUALLY GOOD idk what above posts are saying. Just be prepared cause one thing will go and then another and the bill adds up.

Pros:
sexy
sweet motor (H22 H23)
Rare
Hondas sports coupe of the 90s

Cons:
costly to maintain
Automatics are shit
Backs seats are only comfortable for toddlers (close to no leg room)

I would test drive it first if i were you. You either fall in love with the car or you dont cause thats how it seems to be with preludes. I loved mine, my dad hated it, some friends loved it and some didnt.

my opinion but goodluck with whatever you do bro!
