Took on an Evo VIII w/ the gsr

I wanted to see how fast an evo actually was so when i was on my way home from work, i happen to see and white evo, i quickly sped up next to him and gave him a thumbs up, just a nod and 3 honks we were off, we started around 75 mph, he immediatly started walking away and when he got about one bus length away i looked down at the spedometer and was at 130mph. just slowed down after. caught up and gave a thumbs up and went our own ways. it was fun!

Whats your mods on your GSR?

Evo's aren't that fast IMO, especially from a freeway roll. I was dicking with one on the freeway a month ago in my Turbo LS, and on the one run we both gunned it on, I pulled away from him for the 5seconds we were pulling.

he also had a lud ass exhaust, probably full turboback, and a loud ass BOV. maybe not stock. but here's what i have so far.

AEM V2 CAI, DC Sports 4-1 Headers, Tanabe hypermedallion cat-back exhaust. Custom ecu street tune. Exedy stage 1 organic clutch with fidanza light alloy flywheel. Thats all for now. in the works of going boosted. gotta get the cash first!

Lol yeah. That's a decent mod list.

You probably would have kept up with him better if he was stock.

The Evo I out-pulled was stock /w the muffler cut off.... How can you be such a cheap ass to just cut the muffler off instead of get a exhaust if you're driving an Evo? That's embarassing....

Man I've seen a few rich boys BUTCHER Evos around here. Ricing a Civic is bad enough but damn lol. Anyways wayyy off topic but hey good runs for both of you lol

evo's are fast as shit when they are done right... a good friend of mine has one and i dont now what he has, but its fairly built and he runs low 12's high 11's on an average day. on a good day he can run a mid 11.
