To much amps being put out!

Hey CI I am a new member with a bone stock 91 gs...i just had a deck, speakers, and alarm put in...when they were doing the install they tested the electrical output and the battery and my alternator is putting out almost 20 amps and they were saying that it should be at 14.4 amps......i sure could use some help guys...e-mail me or get back to me on here...THANKS

I think you mean volts instead of amperage (amps). A car is suppose to max out around 14.4 volts, and average 12 volts. I don't know why your car would be putting out 20 volts. As long as everything is still working fine, I wouldn't worry about it.
