one of my friends did the walmart stuff and after two weeks it turned purple and starter to peel. there are some things you don't want to go cheap on and a tint job is one of them

you should never buy shity tint,,but if you have some good tint then do it up..i did it with my gf's brother and other than a few things it was pretty good for our first time..

take off your panels
unhook everything and take your window out
you really gotta clean the windows
then you gotta mix soap with water around 85-15%
then you wet the window with your solution, no SOAK the window
then have a friend peel the tint while you spray the shit out of the tint, this insures that no dust gets attracted to it.
apply the tint to the window and set it in place
use a card or if you have one a squegie* to get the majority of the water out.
then get a hair dryer and get all of the air pockets out.
use your card again if nessisary (making sure you dont apply too much pressure and rip it)
dry again making sure there are no air pockets left
use the same method for the other window(s)

we did this and it came out pretty good for our first time. it was pre cut tint for his car so try and get that if your are doing it yourself..its not that expensive and really fun to do so do what you want but thats what everyone agrees with so its a good source.

UUUHHHH-OOOOHHHHHHH...!!!
i wouldn't buy the cheap walmart stuff. research and order some online. what percent were you planning on going with? i think we still have a few big rolls of the good stuff at the shop and a bunch of supplies.

tintdude.com << a really good site to browse when you're starting out. when i was learning to tint, i had such a hard time shrinking it and getting the fingers in the tint out. it also takes long as hell and is messy. it's one of the things i've never regretted not following through with. heh

Pro's offer 100% satisfaction most of the time and will replace for anything except obvious reasons. I paid 180 for all of my windows except windshield on my cav and its been 3 years.. still no problems I asked the dude that did it if I could buyu tint and he gave me rest of a roll for free Its not that ez to cut it and put it on. I would do as the guys said and buy pre cut and pull that window out because its almost impossible with the window in lol. Pro's make it look ez. Not to meantion precuts usally have that anti fade crap

I did this on one my cars in the past just to try it out and it turned out pretty good. I definitely didn't do it as fast as the professionals but I didn't have any bubbles and luckily it wasn't peeling off on me. But the only thing bad about those walmart tints is that they do turn purple pretty fast. If you do try it out on your own, just remember peeling it off is prolly gonna be more of a pain than putting it on.

if your using temporary... use static clin ones... because cheap tints suck...

and hint to remove because I had to do it like 4 times because of court lol. use heat to get it back off and something with amonia
