tinted tail lights

anyone know what i can use to get this god awful tint off of my tail lights...i was thinking that aircraft paint remover but wouldnt that eat through the plastic too?

Everyone says to sand it off then polish them

what can i use to polish? and im thinking with fine grain sand paper?

im going to go with the goo off...i dont wanna sand my tail lights and they be all scratched and ish....lol

thats how you polish.

wetsand with 2000, wax, buff and polish. the waxing and stuff removes the fine scratches. itll look new.

i know this isnt plastic but same concept. no scratches on my oem axleback. also used a metal polish at the end.
