Time for a project.

Hello to everyone on this forum! My name is Nick and I am starting a boosted, built engine, daily driver Integra. My friend is embarking on this endeavor with me so everything is going to be done twice. He drives a 93 Integra and i am currently on the look out for a nicely priced 2nd gen. Our goals are in the 300 to 350 wheel horse power range. As you can see my current daily driver is a Neon srt4 so i can wait for a sweet deal on a Integra shell. We will each be building our motors while we wait. Based on what i have read here we are in need of quite a few items.

Aem ems, b18a1 block from 90-93 so its cast iron, a bore job on the engine, 82mm? Forged low compression pistons rod and crank, cams, valves, springs, retainers, turbo, not sure on the size yet,but perferrable a Garret, intercooler, water meth injection, a transmission upgrade, not sure on this either, upgraded clutch, blow off valve piping and what not, 2.5" exhaust? 3" cold air intake?

How does all this look guys? Ive been trying to do my research on this and all advice is very welcome. Am i right in thinking the b18a1 engine is good for boosting? My friends integra head has been replaced with a b16 vtec head off a 2000 civic so he will actually only be building his block outside the car. Unless you guys suggest otherwise.

Thanks for the time gentlemen.

No fucks given.
Hey Nick, I'm Ty. Welcome to the forums, I'd like to see this SRT-4 of yours. I've always had a soft spot for Dodge Neons.

Now to a few points, and I mean these in the most non-asshole way, but I'm sure someone else will point them out eventually.

- You may wanna thank the ladies too, there's quite a few of them on here.

- I'm unsure about which block to use, but from what I've heard the A1 and B1 are near identical and are better for boosting due to them having a lower compression rate than a GSR engine.

- It's VTEC, not VTECH.

- And I'm not a turbo expert, but I did come from DSM's..... And I'm pretty sure that a CAI won't do a damn thing if you plan on going turbo since you're going to have a FMIC.

EDIT: Forget that last piece, my mind is f***ed up today after some pretty shitty news about my RS. Sorry guys.

Thanks man. Sorry about the misspelling VTEC not VTECH got it. Shout out to all the ladies, thanks for any help you decide to give me :) I will post a picture of my Neon if you like but obviously im switching back to Honda :)

I should be picking up a 91 b18 block this weekend fora hundred. Its an A1 so that sounds correct.

Front mount and water injection. Maybe a short ram would be better. I have always had CAI even on the srt which is also on water injection.

The turbo piping goes where regular short rams and cold air intakes go so don't buy one. After you get the turbo setup on you can make a custom pipe that goes to the turbo and put a filter / velocity stack on if you want.
Use ARP bolts/studs where you can (rod bolts head studs etc)
Whoever is going to be tuning your car alot of people prefer hondata S300 over AEM EMS, That's your choice but alot of tuners find S300 easier, and it's cheaper.
As far as turbo parts you didn't mention a wastegate, intercooler piping, oil lines, manifold, downpipe, tap oil pan, etc.
For 300-350 whp i never heard of anyone use water or meth injection, Of course it might help but i never researched that stuff so i'm not sure.

I'd do more research if i were you
