Throttle Sticks

Well I have a 90 Da an I have a problem with the idle stock manifold everything.But when I start it sit 1500 till warm.temp an then goes down to perfect idle then you give it gas it goes up an comes down to 2000 1500rpms until I push the throttle with the spring forward on the throttle cable on the manifold it it shots down to 950 970 where it supposed to idle..I've messed with the idle screw an the nuts on the cable to tighten the cable I get it perfect but give it gas goes up an idles way to high... Any Help!!!!

Disconnect your throttle cable from the throttle body and see if your throttle body is sticking or Check to see if your cable from your gas pedal to your throttle body moves freely. Also Check that cable for damage or melting.
Also another thing to Check if all that is working fine is your Idel air control valve is in proper adjustment. Should be a post on the forum here about that.
On my car it got hot one day and because it has a strut tower bracing it was rubbing against that which got hot and melted the cable so my throttle cable would stick till I pulled it back closed at the throttle body. Was only like 12-25 dollars at the dealer for the throttle cable.
