definitly not as fun as my teg but hey its getting there. im thinkin about going b16 turbo. right now rolling around with a crappy d series. i might trade it. it sucks not having a/c, p windows, locks, abs, carpet, etc. i dunno, one minute i like this car then one minute i hate it, that never happened with my teg.

ahh i miss my te37's.

ordered some stuff so we'll see.

yeah with my integra i felt really connected to the road...with this car i feel like i have to be careful all the time. im going to order tein coilovers, so maybe that'll help and i ordered some bars and stuff.

Why don't you just turbo your Dseries, you can get them putting down over 200whp easy. Fuck it, build it up and there good for almost 400whp

i know some guys running turbo d's. they're nice for a while but the trannys were not made to accelerate and they're too weak for my taste.

I guees, kid down here has a 2000 civic with a d in it. We made a turbo kit for it with misc. parts. Skyline FMIC, an oldsmobile turbo, couple other things. Its pretty quick dyno'd over 200 to the wheels and a good amount of torque. Don't know much about the trannys but he hasn't had any problems with his.

no no no dont get a b16 turbo, no tourq at all get a b18b (keep it in the family) then turbo, the extra torq will help with the turbo lag, ps i luv the hatch i and who cares about ps( lil more power less weight) and carpets thats minor but id hate not to have ac but thats just me

yeah i guess so. i should go with a b18b because i absolutely love that motor but i feel like trying something different. just talked with a guy who is selling his 96 gsr/ salvage title with b16. he really wants to trade more than i want to trade so im definitly going to have to go over the teg with a fine tooth comb.

^^ if you have the extra money, go for GSR engine if you are gonna go towards the turbo route

the GSR engine is a great motor for boost since the internals are pretty strong and the compression isn't too high so it can hold a good amount of boost with stock internals...10psi easily

another idea is doing a LS/VTEC...like Itrain said, the B18B block will give you a little bit more lower end torque but also the power in the high end when the VTEC kicks in...this setup is great for boost as well since the compression is around 9.8:1 after all said and done

just build an ls-t for it. much cheaper than vtec and plenty of power for that light of a chassis
