I picked up this Integra on Saturday 10/1/2011. 138k miles, minor surface rust, dents and dings. Interior is really clean. Skunk2 exhaust, aem cai, type r spoiler, brand new wheels and tires for $600. The timing belt slipped. My first intention was to part the car out, but I was able to find a complete obd2 b18 engine with all new gaskets, tbelt, headgasket, waterpump, new distibutor for 300. So I couldnt pass that up
So far, no, it isnt a freebie. I did however sell/ swap the spoiler, rear bumper, tail lights, wheels and tires to recoup my $600. I also resold the engine with the old head and some other misc parts for $300, and I have a few other parts I can sell, so as of now I have nothing into her.
I swapped the head, did the timing belt, waterpump, headgasket and other gaskets. Got her running yesterday 10/7 after having timing issues, I was off 180 degrees
Starts right up, runs and drives. Has an vacuum leak somewhere, but nonetheless
Most recent pictures taken today, she isn't pretty. But with $0 into it, I dont think any car would be, lol
The motor I bought for $300
As far as plans go. Check the valve clearences/ compression check. Try to find the vacuum leak and the alternator grind/noise.
Over the winter I'l fix the rust, dents and dings. And respray it black. Trying to keep it without putting alot of money into it, a freebie challenge I guess. Might not work, but hey its good expierence lol
Any thoughts, comments aren't necessary but would be appreciated. She isn't anything special but Id figure Id post the pics anyways, Thanks
