Taking off the noob boots

So i am quite pleased about my auto x results. so happy infact ive made a thread about it. So ive only done 3 auto x events with this car and i have never done a single event with a consistent set up. The first time i had no sway bars second time i had my full suspension set up and this time i had added the tie bar. But enough of that info.

The first time i raced with a LS Vtec integra with 198 to thee wheels. He had stayed unchanged since the last time except some body modifications. Motor was still 198whp and still had stock suspension with blues and lowering springs.

The tracks were very similar from this time and the current event. Both were power tracks where you could get the power on quick and often. The ls vtec would be able to make it up on the straights where i would be struggling to get up to speed and power.

his times vs mine the first auto x

Ls Vtec 62.9 62.67 64.06 62.18 Best time: 62.18
Dylan 75.15 70.96 68.59 71.63 Best time: 68.59

Thats a difference of 6.14 seconds

Last weekend
Ls vfec 53.45 53.39 58.56 52.82 Best time: 52.82
Dylan 55.23 55.15 55.42 55.62 Best time: 55.15

That was a time difference of 2.33. I closed the gap between this time and last time about 4 seconds. i feel pretty accomplished

Yes i will! my new motor will have an improvement but i think the biggest improvement would have been a b16 tranny. I think with that i would have closed the times by another .5 and with my azeins on i would have been equal.

lol! yeah i think im stiff as i can be with my setup. maybe different springs.

actually, heres my thing about the passanger. since he weights like nothing and im like fat as hell it kind of balances out the car when cornering since my car isnt corner balanced. my times without one were actually slower.

For autocross, the suspension needs to be on the loose side.

thanks matt! i think with the azeins ill be able to close the gap more. i figure on a power track he can put his power down where i cant. :thumbs up trying to prove im a good track driver ya know

im pretty sure as well. i think my times are being hindered by the start and the fact that im scared to heel toe into 1st gear. the starts are a short straight then a sharp right hand turn. i cant put power on from the start since its like 50 feet and then a turn. and i think the 1st gear problem will also add time.
