FMU Question!

I'm going to get a T3 turbo for my '97 teg..so right now i'm starting to purchase parts..
there's 10:1 and 12:1 ratio for the Fuel Management Unit..what's the difference and which one would you recommend for t3 turbo..??

The difference is that a 10:1 FMU will bump fuel pressure up 10psi for every psi of boost. the 12:1 will raise the FP 12psi to every pound of boost. I personnally would go with the 12:1 and get a A/F ratio gauge and something to fine tune it with. Greddy e-manage, apex safc...etc.

do not get an fmu without building up your fuel system as in getting bigger injectors or a management unit (already said) lets say you get the 12:1 fmu...that means for every 1psi of air going into your engine this fmu puts in 12 psi of fuel. Say your running 6 pounds...that's 72 psi of fuel pressure PLUS the additional 40 psi of stock fuel pressure....that's alot!! and your stock system will not take that kind of stress alone.

this is all true...make sure you get a new fuel pump. i would also do new hoses, FPR, and injectors. But I guess that all depends on your budget.
