Swaybar possible question

91 teg with 210k on clock

There I was driving along I-95 in CT the other day minding my p's and q's, clear road about 55mph when all of a sudden there was this "kathunk"

Pretty sure I didnt run over anything and looking in the RV Mirror no bits were left on the road behind me.

Got off highway and there was this clanging noise as if my muffler system was hanging loose and it was coming from front passenger bulkhead.

It seems everytime I hit a pothole or other road feature this mini clang (minor kathunk) happens.

Jacked car up nothing loose or seems to be missing. Friend had a look and seems to think it is a swaybar bushing gone bad.

Any ideas?.

My local garage guy indicates it is a strut that has failed 200 x 2 + labor = too much for me at the moment,

car will function as long as I am not doing anything stupid, as I am unemployed and $ are very tight this fix will not happen in near future.

beep beep
so it was the struts..do you plan on keeping it stock?
if you do just go to local auto store and pick some up I don't think they'll cost 100 each ..and replacing struts is quite easy not too much work you could do it you're self
