i have a gsr shell, with an ls engine swap and whenever i start the car, for like 5-10mins my rpm goes up and down. sounds like my car has asthma, does anyone has this swap or might know why it does this...shyts pretty annoying.

Your IACV may be stuck. Intake Air Control Valve. It is located on the back of the IM. It has two coolant lines going into it. I dont know how else to discribe it. I will try and find a pic.

either that or your throttle position sensor "big sensor on top of your intake manifold

i had the problem with mine and it was my censor

ya i checked them, how can i tell if that sensor is bad?? can it be a vacume?

There could be a leak..... but the MAP, IVAC and EVAP system are also possible suspects....But i'd make sure there was no leak first.... Do you have a manual? CHILTON or Haynes will help you out on how to check them.... usually you just need to probe the sensors with DVM digital voltmeter...

ummm one time mine gs-r was jumping like from 700 - 2300 rpm for some reason i figured it was my IM changed it out and fixed the problem it can be so many things though ..
