Supercharger lag???

i bought the car with a jackson racing supercharger and it kicks in about 5 grand i heard it is suppose to kick in right away, can somebody help me?

check the bypass valve make sure it is opening and closing correctly. you should have power from idle to red line. as soon as i press the pedal aggressively i have boost. the bypass valve or belts might be bad
