Supercharged ITR?

I know space is limited and modifications would have to done. Has anyone ever heard of supercharging an ITR engine after putting lets say skunk 2 stage 2 cams? Just thinking of possibilities for when i get this engine. would getting a stage 2 or 3 cam just kill my bottom end or is that lift and duration increase based only on the Vtec lobes?

when you put those cams in your upgrading your whole valvetrain right ? like valves, retainers, vavle springs ? stage 2 cams are very aggressive you have to upgrade internals. usually a setup like that is for all motor and your trying to add boost maybe different cams would work better. If i was you id just keep the R all motor.

you have 2 cams in that motor buddy.

you can supercharge the ITR motor, it definitely is do-able. I'd like to see one. Is there anyone with superchargers on ci?

i'm still waiting on money to buy engine, i'll hit you up when the time comes. not promising though, if your needing to sell and you find a buyer, sell.

skunk2 cams are made for n/a engines. wheb you put a blower on it, it's no longer n/a. those cams will most definatly blow the engine up. n/a cams allow for the intake vales to stay open just a bit more and the exhaust cams to stay open longer. this is bad for boosted cars. with boosted cars you want the intake to stay open much longer than the exhaust. this allows for more pressure in the cylinder. wich is good for boosted cars.

n/a cams allow for the engine to inhale more air.
boosted cams allow for more air to be force fed into the engine.
n/a cams in a boosted engine will cause more harm than good.

if you have a sc'd itr the best mod to do is take gsr cams and switch them over. the grind is less aggresive and it allows the air to be crammed in easier.

the lift is too much for a boosted engine. just buy some crower cams made for boosted hondas.

I've also heard real good things about skunk2's turbo cams. I like skunk2 imo best parts on the market unless your going up into the toda, spoon price range.
