My clear coat is coming off big time on my hood at the moment. I'm weighing my options on what to do about it and narrowed it down to these two:
1. Get a maaco job on my hood only (no way I'm dropping 5k on a paint job)
2. Get a carbon fiber hood for 500 bucks.
I'm leaning toward option 2 right now. I feel it serves a dual purpose. No need for paint right away and drop weight. Although I prefer my car to be one color, I don't find carbon fiber to be low budget looking and the spoon tegs look great with it.
Hood would cost around the same as painting my current hood anyway.
Any opinions or suggestions are appreciated. Please point out any holes in my reasoning
