Sub help

I know there are a million of these threads but I am going to add one more, sorry!
So first off I don't always listen to bass heavy music, i listen to alot of rock, but I do listen to some rap and electronic too. I am having some issues deciding on what i want. I really want space in my trunk etc. But at the same time I want something that will hit hard when i want it to. I am looking at this

Its a thin sub for under the seat. The only issue is i am not sure if it will hit hard at all. I also kinda like that open the trunk and hear them thump factor you get from a box in the trunk. Here are a couple packages i am looking at as well.

None of those personally. Get something name brand. If you check craigslist often you can find some good deals. Even ebay. My friend bought 2 10" rockford fosgate subs for like 107 shipped.

The BEST sub I've heard for rock with occasional other things (I know from personal experience, as I have one lol) is a JL Audio 10w3v2. I am running 450 to it and it hits RIDICULOUSLY hard, but that's just my $.02. I've literally had to turn my stereo down when it hits It's so violent, and it has some good range for techno style music, I listen to a lot of dubstep and it is more than adequate. Crisp, clean bass that will rock your face off :thumbs up

I listen to pretty much the same kinda stuff. I got 2 10 inch Rockford fosgates and a sony 1200 watt amp. It works great for pretty much everything. Not too loud, but just enough.

I do like the idea of the one high quality 10 inch, less space that it would take up. Yet at the same time those JL audio's are so dang expensive. I listen to pretty much the exact same thing as you klutch. I listen to some dubstep, some hardstyle, some house, and alot of rock. So that JL sounds really good, im interested in your used one gs300. Also Klutch or gs300 what is the dimensions of your box and where did you have them set up?
