Stuck Antenna

hey, the retractable antenna on my 97' ls 4dr is stuck in the up posisition. when you hit the radio on/off switch i can hear the motor that retracts or raises the antenna turning but i dont see any movement in the antenna its self. any ideas?

Here's an idea, use the search function. This topic has been talked about so many times it's not even funny. There is a DIY on how to fix it. Mine currently works but occasionally wont go down right away sometimes. I know, it's a pain in the ass.

yeah...sometimes mine doesnt roll back down at all...i have to bang the top rear panel just to make it go back down...im going to delete it soon!

my girlfriends 95 ls has the same problem. i want to put the s2000 antenna on, but i think it not worth the hassle.

i want to get the antenna like on my moms 06 odyssey. maybe mount it in my hatch lid.

sorry, i tried search for "stuck antenna" and didnt come up with anything.

But thanks for the help, ill let you know how the repair goes.

alright, well after hunting around all i was able to find was an article saying that i should go crazy w/ some wd-40. i tried it, and it did nothing. it feels like the antenna is completely detached from the motor mechanism. anyone have any advice/direction to the proper thread seeing as i cant seem to find it?

i was told that you have to replace the motor inside there. But i just removed mine and looking for a plug to cover that hole for now. just me

you need an ant. mast. it is repairable. can be a bit of a hassle but it is do-able by the way , I think this thread is an intro.thread. good luck through.
