strut bar question

Hey. so my friend gave me one of the regular ebay looking front strut bar and it doesnt really fit. any one else have this problem?

some guy on TI had the same prob and removed it nobody knows what it is i htink its just on older tegs. iono

thanx alot, it actually is a pump mecanism but i dint have it hooked up anyway so i just took it off

I undeleted this.

That is a dashpot, it has something to do with your throttle body from getting stuck.

Yours didnt even look hooked up.

yea i have that problem too.. never installed my strut bar cus of it.
so im guessing it wouldnt be bad if i took mines off too?

it wasnt. i dont think it has anything to do with your throttle body, it just had a nozzle to suck air and a hole to release it. It wasnt attached to the throttle body at all except for two screws.

I can't find a strut bar for a first Gen Integra, anyone seen any? (for less than 150$$$)

That thing is a egr valve I believe. It's not too important mine is off too so I could put my strut bar on.
