Strange rattle under feet

Hey fellas whatsup? A couple days ago i was getting into the teg while playing with this S/C'd Scion TC and when I let off of full throttle i noticed a strong vibration/rattle underneath my left foot. Now im pretty sure its not coming through the pedal because i did NOT feel it with my right foot which was resting on the gas. I felt it pretty strongly through my left foot which was just sitting on the floor. I dont believe it is my exhaust because then wouldnt it happen much more often? The only time i can get the sound to produce itself again is a strong pull then let off the gas or run over a pot hole. And then sure enough there it is. Not sure if its important but it is a quick rattle and its over with in 3 secs Im not sure if it could be an axle so i got under there and tried shaking and prying and pulling anything i saw near that area and it was all very snug. Performance is not hindered at all, car still pulls and handles just as well as it did before this sound started happening. Any ideas?

maybe something in the suspension? does your steering wheel shake aswell when you feel that vibration??

Just call me chris.
if its a wheel bearing you'd only hear it when you turn. my steering wheel shakes when i apply the break and sometimes if i hit a bump it'll jerk on way or another and my mechanic buddy said it my be something loose in my suspension. so that could be your problem

alright so its back to the shop for another day im gonna get them to look at the suspension but to answer your question there is no vibration except under my feet nothing in the shifter and nothing in the steering wheel but who knows could be anything which is why i know this is so hard to diagnose thanks for the input tho

no problem man. but id post what the shop says before you say yes to anything. cuz shops anymore like to fuck people over.

nothing from nowhere
i had a civic do the same thing and it was a bad shock. an inner cv joint can cause a vibration under acceleration.

When I accelerate there is a heat shield that is around my cat that rattles, it only does it usually though when the car hasn't been running long. its bc is all rusted and loose from the bolts rusting out and what not

yeah my heat shield used to rattle but then i got under there and bent the shield away. Im almost 100% sure its not that cus when i had my hand on the shifter i could feel it vibrate through my hand. When i fell the rattle/vibration under my feet it is only felt in my left foot and sounds like its right under my feet as well, also i feel no other movement in the car when this occurs except under my left foot, which is resting on the floor.

Drive your car
Could be excessive wear in your ball joints, that causes all sorts of weird unexplained vibrations.

cheap bastard
It sounds as though the sound only occurs under load so it's probably something suspension or drivetrain related. Like you said, hard to diagnose over the internet but everyone posting so far is probably on the right track.

I doubt it's the case, but have you checkd the bolts to the clutch pedal and made sure the clutch cyl is fastened tightly? It's a long shot but one of the only other things I could think of that would only cause a left foot vibration.

nah the twitch is in the third leg haha no but being serious now i refered the mechanic at the shop to this web page to see if it would further help him diagnose the problem. It does not look good as they have my car for the whole day and still no updates, so i got my fingers crossed. You know i think this is the first time im hoping a shop will call back and tell me your yada yada has gone up and needs to be replaced. Whats the world coming to when a guy starts to hope there is something wrong with his car????
