Stock Radio Help

[GSR Chick]

I know it's very rare for people on here to have a stock radio yet, but I do and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them. Mine happens to be screwy and sometimes when I put a cd in it works and other times it will spit it out and the screen reads P-EO. It happens with new cds, old ones, all kinds so it's not a specific one. Any thoughts?

"PEO" USUALLY means Player Error Optical,which means in most cases the laser has malfunctioned.When this happens of course,no CD or disc will play.Replacement of the unit is usually indicated.

You can try a cleaner disc to clean the optical unit, most likely you'll need a new player though.

I usually do too, but it's just really annoying when you're like halfway to your destination and don't get to hear your song.

Cuz I have an entirely stock car except for my clutch. I like the stock look/feel.

Ahh. That sounds good. Mine is also all stock except an intake and a strut bar. I love the stock look but the radio just doesn't sound good.

I get a skipping problem quite often with my stock deck... I'm wondering if the optical eye is just dirty or if mine's slowly dying as well haha

the stock one doesnt play many cd's or formats on cd's, youre very limited with the cd selection.
