Stereo code not working('95 LS)

Hey friends, we've all seen this question before, I know I have and it seemed like an easy fix till it happened to me.

Stereo reset itself while changing the battery, so I retrieve the serial number off the unit (FA05633B). I call one Acura dealer locally, they give me the code 13444. I enter the code once (Err 01), twice (Err 02), three times (Err 03), and I'm locked from trying to enter the code again. Have to unplug the battery in order to try the code!! I call a second Acura dealer locally and they give me the same code based on my serial number.

Is there a process to putting in the code (pressing mode, etc) or is it as simple as entering the 5 digit code? Anyone know a way around this? I appreciate the help.

Seriously, I rarely listen to the radio nowadays. I listen to MP3s off of my phone and also talk on it hands free. Nothin too fancy or expensive, just a line-out jack from my deck plugged into a USB adapter that came with my G1.

May be too late, but if the OP still has the problem, try this:

1.) Disconnect both battery cables from the battery terminals.
2.) Press and hold the metal ends together so they make constant contact and keep them together for at least 30 seconds.
3.) Reconnect the wires to the battery.

Had many radios that would not take the code due to being locked, and this always unlocked them.
