Warped rotor, loose axle nut, etc..

Is that the only time it happens? While you are on, and off the throttle?

Im pretty sure it is your wheel(s) out of balance, maybe its also out of alignment. When i first got the car, shook bad, new tires, alignment helped, warped rotors replaced, then wheels balanced, problem solved, i pratically drove a 2-hour roadtrip with no hands half the time ;) (ok maybe not seriously but thats how smooth it was)

Wheels unbalanced get increasinly unstable as you go faster, mine was shaking at 65+

Yeah, I'd start by inspecting all the wheel/hub/brake components. Is it just on one side or what?
I know when I got my car and drove it the first time I was going down a hill and started shaking horribly at about 50mph. Ended up just being a loose spindle nut, had a half ass PO...

Looking for my next Teg..
also not mentioned... mis matched tires can do this ( as in 3 of one kind and 1 cheap replacement that has different or less tread)

If it were warped rotors he would feel the shake when on the brakes, not when on the throttle.
Check your axle. If it only occurs when on the throttle, it's either an axle is bad/out of balance.
If tires are the culprit the shake will be felt when coasting and going faster than the mph listed above.

Fat guy in a little coat.
Jack up one side, slowly go into first, have somebody bend down in front of the bumper and see if the rim wobbles. You can do this for both sides. Bent rims can cause the lugs to wobble free and bust the rim off the hub, sending you skiddding to the side.

Not that its ever happened to me or anything...

just take the wheels to a tire shop and have them check em out on the tire balancer. could be out of balance or a bent wheel. most balancers have a gage on the side of the machine to measure rim runout...

Ours had numerous issues. We had all the wheels balanced (still vibrated and it pulled to the left while driving only to pull to the right under braking) only to have the front right lower ball joint separate a few days after the alignment. Replacing all the bushings and ball joints along with the wheel bearing resulted in smooth driving from the wheel. Car still felt odd so we jacked up the rear and found slipped belts on both tires (they were not round). So, off to get 2 new tires, new pads for the rear, replace bushings and brake lines. Ought to be pretty decent after that.
