I was just curious as to how do I know my ignition switch is bad, when I mess with it and turn the switch(the white cylinder thing mushroom shaped insert ) the car beeps once, the starter isn't ticking or anything just engine check for tdc 8 flashes from the screen I believe. BtW the switch wires are totally jacked all resaudered They don't look so good but then again it shows me the oil battery and engine light. If any thing please let me know how to symptomize my problem With ignition switch

Got one today nothing different besides the windshield wipers trying to turn on, the car won't get power to cigarette lighter, headlights, or sun roof, but the oil battery and engine light will come on, I will have movement on the coolant temp gauge but I don't have coolant in the car anyways I'm just trying to get the car to crank and have the car working I will do all of the preparation to get it running once I know it will crank,BTW this is a b18b1 in the da9 I keep hearing it's plug and play I also have a obd2 intake manifold but I have done some wiring for the plugs to extend to the plug in the back under thermostat housing and iacv. I was thinking fuses and or ground wiring problems.

Looking for my next Teg..
you could have a bad ICU...

that would be my next guess.. in fact I'd be willing to bet that that soldered frankenstein ignition switch shorted the ICU...

ICU is just behing the fues in the driver side floor..

Okay so I was messing with my car today, decided to put power to the starter again, and with doing so, the car turned on, but I had to immediately shut it off because there is no oil, so now, I am figuring that it is the clutch switch that is keeping me from cranking it because when I turn the key there is no movement from starter, but when power is there it's cranks, so after I get clutch switch, and some oil, coolant, and a few other parts, I believe I will be completing my project that I have been sitting on since September of last year. My fingers are crossed and hopefully I will be driving it here soon, very very excited and thankful for the help from clubintegra, jdmuniverse, and hondatech. Com.

why on earth would you start a car with no oil in it? bad bad bad idea...

keep us posted as you go along...

Put oil in it first, then with the ignition switched over to start, slam the clutch pedal down a few times to see if it starts. Mine acts up sometimes and it works for me. lol

regardless of being close to finishing your project or not never turn the car over without oil... at the very least drip a little down each cylinder to the cylinder walls get a coating.

Got oil in it, the car is running, now I must start finishing it up, piece together the parts. Hoses for water and air, basically done just need a few more things, the bracket for the throttle, put together my cluster because the speedometer was outside the car rather than connected to cluster. I have yet to drive it. I'll give it another two weeks to a month for me to have it on the road, will post pics for sure, and links to YouTube of my official first start and first drive.

Hey I just did this same swap but i can't get it to start. What ecu did you use? I'm using the obd2 intake manifold too, could you explain a bit more about how you extended two plugs to work with the intake manifold cuz I have two plung that aren't plugged in. One is behind the motor and is a green round plug and the other is near the thermostat so I believe that the one your talking about, it's clear flat and three pins wide.

Okay well with mine, I ran obd0, go get yourself a spare OBD0 wire harness.

Once you do that, your gonna need to start cutting into it, and taking what you need, you will usually see a map sensor on your firewall,.so look for those plug, it looks oval shaped and has three pins, you will see two map sensors on your throttle body so those are the ones you need to add plugs for, make sure you have your plugs going to your thermo housing where all of those hoses are at, closest to your lower radiator house, and there is the same plug going to your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE, you will need to look for this plug so you can extend the oil pressure sensor solenoid little nipple plug in, I have not added a crank sensor or oil temp sensor. And have not added a fan switch so that big black rubber plug that has two wires for two solenoid on the motor in the b18a1. Map sensor on top of intake with obd2 type plug is unused and should be plugged up using some type of rubber nipple. Make sure you get a pcv valve for the middle hose coming from intake manifold to valve cover. And then try to put power to your starter. See if it starts. Mine did but I had to turn the key to on so fuel pump is on.

I then noticed that since I had to put power to it to start it I wired in a starter switch.
I have seen this done in a swap on YouTube. Look up obd0 b18a1 to obd2 b18b1 da9 swap video. He sounds dumb but he did it so check it out man get back to me let me know anything you don't understand.

Yeah you did things way differently. My car is obd1 so idk if what you did will be the same for me and idk if I could handle all that wiring. I have another thread on here explaining how I did mine but I think I'm gonna have to swap out the intake manifold with the b18a1 manifold and ill have basically converted the b1 to and a1 running on an obd1 ecu and harness. Thanks for the info though.
