Speedometer stopped working!

So. I was driving my car today and all of the sudden my speedometer just stopped working. The tachometer works fine along with everything else.

I did just install an o2 sim on my car, but it had been working fine for like a week, and I am almost positive I put it on right.

So I took the o2 sim off today and I checked the fuse (i think i got the right one) and the fuse was fine but i replaced it anyway, and the speedometer still doesnt work....

I can drive it, but its just a little more sketchy without a speedometer...if you know what i mean.
I am gonna re-install the o2 sim and see if that does anything...(doubt it will but I am fresh out of ideas at this point.)
Anybody got any suggestions on what to check?

its gear driven sensor in the top of the tranny that powers the speedo. it will usually throw a CEL though if its going out. its code #17. is your CEL on?

Yeah. It did come on like a few minutes before my speedometer stopped working.

Is it something you can get at like Advanced Auto or something?

you can probably get it there. check your out CEL first though because they are kinda pricey. if its code 17 then there is your problem

so I read the CEL code and it was #20 not #17. #20 corresponds with the Electronic Load Dectector, would that make my speedometer not work?

no. that shouldn't effect your speedo
i fixed the speedo.
I checked the wrong fuse the first time.
I think that my o2 sim shorted out and it blew the fuse that the ELD goes through, the VSS also goes through that fuse so thats why it wasnt working.

Thanks for your help.
