I went to another Speed Ventures event at SOW again last Friday. Just thought I'd share what happened and a couple of pics. Here are the highlights:
1st Session:
1) 1st warm up lap felt good.
- My Project Mu bads still feel
- RT-615s still had a good amount of grip
- Engine felt a little hesistant passed 6500 RPM
2) 3rd lap
- At corner exit on turn 3, I hit the throttle and the engine stopped revving at around 7000 RPM
- CEL went off
- Exited the track and headed back to the paddock
- Let the engine cool
- Turn off the engine
- Turned engine back on and the CEL was gone
2nd Session:
1) Again, the first two laps were great
2) Right after turn 2, the engine cuts off again at around 7000 RPM
3) Exited the track
4) Retired for the day
Afterwards, I did an ECU jump test and the CEL coded that there was something wrong with my oxygen sensor. So the DB8 will be getting a new one this week. I hope to come back to SOW in December for a little revenge...
Since I was only out for two sessions, the photographer didn't get any shots of my and my DB8, except for when I was exiting the track. Which was a pretty lame shot with me putting my left fist out the window to signal that I was exiting. However... My friend did manage to take one good picture of me right after last turn/skid pad, right before the front straight away. He also took a pic of a black GT-R R35.
Enjoy!
