Spark plug tool stuck on spark plug..

So I was changing my spark plugs, and I was using my 5/8's crescent spark plug tool (with a rubber grommet inside).

Well, as I pulled the tool out, I looked in and saw the rubber grommet sitting ontop of the new spark plug.. it won't come out and it is sitting over top of the spark plug nut, so I can't remove the plug..

Any ideas?

Long skinny needle nose. You could also try a long needle to stab it and pull it up. Bend a coat hanger to pry it off...lots of ideas.
