Sound Proofing

I just had a question to something that one of my friends told me about. I guess its a spray for undercoating your vehicle that helps keep it more quiet inside the car. Do any of you guys know what I am talking about? If so does it work?

I love my car dont get me wrong. But if it was alittle more quiet on the inside when traveling that wouldnt hurt. Thanks.

i recomend getting some type of mat and putting it under your carpet. helps alot. and very nice. I did it with my 91 teg when i replaced the carpet and it turned out really good. just peel and stick.
I used some ebay barrier and was good.
Make sure you do your research before buying any old sound barrier on ebay though.
Thats what i did and ended up being a good product.

Sound deadening material is heavy, I wouldn't do it to an ITR.
I agree. That's one of the benefits of the Type R. I doesn't have all the heavy ass sound deadening that came on all the other models

its really not that heavy. using 80mil you will only gain about 20lbs if you do the ENTIRE car in it. i dont know who started the rumor about it being super heavy, but its just not...

yeah really not that heavy to where you would drastically effect weight. Noise vs 20 lbs. I would do the sound deadening it is worth it. shit if your worried bout 20 lbs take out the spare or just make ur girl walk.

unless you race it shouldnt be important. my friend drag races and he says that for evey 100 pounds you take off a car you really only gain like a tenth of a second. but the spray in undercoat does work. plus it'll prevent any rust that may form. but be careful it can get really messy when you apply it.
