this is the guy i bought it from ... and hmm if he sold his "show car type r" for 30k then where did he get another r motor ..... so below is what i emailed him with

yo man im the guy with the silver integra who bought the apexi n1 exhaust from you last june or so ... just wanted to let you know that it broke on the freeway in march about 20k miles after i put it on the car .. im pretty mad about it cause you said your r was a show car which implied that it wasnt driven much .... and now after seeing your 90 for sale on here with the motor im thinking the type r was in an accident and you were trying to sell off all the salvaged parts. Not cool at all bro

could have been. but they are usually pretty easy to spot. the quality of the welds and the flanges is almost always sub par on knock offs

Another example of why people need to buy AUTHENTIC parts (No offense to you Melt) but I hate this new "knock - off" industry that has arose. There was even a thread going around talking about the counterfeit Tein parts.

i've seen quite a few products that were obvious rip offs posted up on dsmtuners.com

there was even a chinese knock off of the Mitsubishi Evo 3 16G turbo that they just called the Evo 3 16G GT. its not even a mitsu turbo

That was a different car. The swap i have now was JDM. Im sorry that the exhaust broke but it was hardly used you probably scraped it liek crazy or something why would it just break. My type r was never in an accident. Dont assume stuff man its not cool.

I think he means, the ITR show car was totalled. Sold the exhaust to melt, which was fucked up from the accident. Dropped the ITR engine from the show car in the G2, and is now selling it. I like the NSX next to the g2.
