So, this a**hole runs me into the interstate median this evening...

...got back on the pavement, overcorrected, and tagged the median guardrail after an almost 360 spin that slowed the car down enough that the rail only took out the driver's headlight, and banged up the left front quarter, bumper, and hood. Drove home (about 40 miles) after filing the police report. No mechanical or structural damage. Of course, the a**hole didn't stop.

'92 LS auto. 205K miles. Stock. Well maintained except paint (shot). It is my baby. 110 mile round trip daily commute.

After this, I'm more determined now than ever to keep the thing on the road, and maybe even paint it once it's fixed. What would you suggest for the parts? Junkyard for the sheet metal? Ebay for the headlight and misc.?

Thanx for any suggestions.

I'm sure you could get all those parts off a clean car in the junk yard... all that stuff is just bolted on, so take the bad stuff off and replace it with good! lol

I'm sure your local junkyard will have at least one clean DA to pick from.
